Description
2013 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship Ring Presented to Pitcher Daniel Bard. The first-round draft pick for the BoSox in the 2006 draft, Bard made his Big League debut in 2009 and supplied all five seasons of his top-level service to the Fenway faithful. He'd make his last Major League appearance with the 2013 Red Sox, earning this gorgeous symbol of achievement for his contributions to the team's third World Series victory of the twenty-first century. It is consigned to auction by Bard himself.Genuine diamonds run the edge of the face, and genuine rubies form the eponymous red socks on the ring face atop a figural World Series Trophy, sandwiched between raised text reporting, "Boston Red Sox World Champions, 2013." Left shank presents the "B Strong" logo inspired by the tragic events of that year's Boston Marathon terror attack, and the year "2013." Right shank pictures the Fenway Park facade and Bard's surname and jersey number.
Further engraving appears inside size twelve and a half (12.5) band, reading, "Bearded Brothers" and "10-30-13," the latter being the day of the Championship clincher. We also find "Jostens 14K" stamping here. Weight is seventy-four grams (74 g.).
The ring presents in pristine condition in its original etched glass and wood display case. This is just the second 2013 Red Sox ring we've offered.
