2009 Philadelphia Phillies National League Championship Ring. The National League pennant was successfully defended in 2009 after the Phillies won it all in 2008, so while Charlie Manuel's red-hot squad would ultimately fall to the mighty Yankees in that season's World Series, this ring nonetheless represents a protracted era of dominance for the City of Brotherly Love.

Like the 2008 Phillies ring likewise presented within this Platinum Night auction, this gorgeous symbol of excellence was issued to strength and conditioning coach Wladimir Martinez and is identical in format to those earned in combat by Utley, Rollins and Hamels. Genuine diamonds and rubies add sparkle to the ring face, which boldly announces, "2009 National League Champions Phillies." Left shank identifies the recipient by surname above twin pennants and a figural baseball, while right shank pictures the Warren C. Giles National League Championship Trophy at the center of text recounting the four games to one NLCS victory over the Dodgers. Interior band is stamped "MOD-HJ-14K." Total weight is forty-nine grams (49 g.). Size ten (10). Small wooden ring box is included.
