2009 Adam Wainwright Gold Glove Award. Only a select few baseball players are able to secure a Gold Glove. Adam Wainwright transformed himself from a situational reliever into a bonafide staff ace. In 2009 Wainwright was on top of his game as he received the most first place votes in the Cy Young balloting. Why he didn't win the award is anybody's guess. But one award he did take home was a Rawlings Gold Glove. Each year one pitcher from each league receives the ultimate fielder honor with a Gold Glove. This belonged to a former Rawlings employee and is an exact replica. Gold Gloves have never been reproduced for commercial sale. "2009 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Presented to Adam Wainwright Honoring His Selection As The Finest In The Field" is engraved on a gold placard. Gold baseballs balance the sides while an image of Wainwright with a Rawlings patch raised against a wood base. A separate Gold Glove comfortably fits onto a pedestal and serves as a crown.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
