    Description

2008 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship Ring. The City of Brotherly Love was the center of the baseball world for the first time since Schmidt and Rose won it all in 1980, and this is a ring issued to a staffer to share in the glory. This ring is highlighted by a diamond letter "P" set into a red stone on the ring face, sandwiched between "World Champions" raised text. Recipient's surname and team logo appear on left shank, while right shank reports the glorious vintage above a figural World Series Trophy and logos of the competing teams. Interior band is stamped "Sterl" (sterling silver) and measures to a size nine and half with a weight of twenty-four grams (24g.). Made by Masters of Design/Herff-Jones. Letter of provenance from original recipient.
