    Description

Presented to strength & conditioning coach

2007 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship Ring. It took eighty-six years of suffering to bring "The Curse of the Bambino" to a close, but only three more for the Boston Red Sox to repeat as kings of the baseball world. Facing a white-hot Colorado team that had won twenty-one of its previous twenty-two contests going back to the close of the regular season, the Sox swept Colorado in four straight to earn the Championship hardware presented here.

This "A type" ring, issued to strength and conditioning coach Pat Sandora, is identical in design and construction to those presented to the likes of Beckett, Big Papi and the rest of the playing roster, a massive, jewel-encrusted stunner weighing sixty-six grams (66 g.). Certainly, to millions of New Englanders, this is a keepsake worth far more than its weight in gold and jewels.

Ruby-red "sox" form a team logo on the ring's glimmering face, with diamonds and synthetic custom-cut sapphires sharing space with "World Champions" engraved text. Still more diamonds line the perimeter. A miniature Fenway Park adorns the left shank, with text announcing "7th World Series Championship, 4-0 Sweep." Right shank features a team logo "B" flanked by a World Series trophy, and the text, "Sandora, Min Lg 2007." Interior band is engraved "Boston Red Sox, 10-28-07," and stamped "Jostens 14K." Band measures to a size eleven (11). Mint condition. Original wood and etched glass hinged display box is included, as is original cardboard packaging. Letter of provenance from Pat Sandora.
