Description

2003 Pedro Martinez Game Used Fielder's Glove. While the steroid controversy has all but closed the doors of Cooperstown to anyone involved in the controversy, at least one diminutive pitcher will never be affected by baseball's dark age. Standing a shade under six feet and weighing 170 pounds soaking wet, Pedro Martinez was baseball's top pitching draw of the late '90's. His array of pitches kept Red Sox Nation coming back each time he toed the rubber.

This navy blue Rawlings model 200-3JNSSO 11.5" glove was worn when the hurler pitched for the Red Sox in 2003. The glove is created out of "heart of the hide" leather and had a modified T-web with a conventional wrist strap and two snaps which facilitate changing the wristband on the glove. Great pocket wear is found inside. The names Jerito, Nayla and Pedro Martinez are embroidered in red near the outside of the thumb. Jerito and Nayla are Pedro's children. A letter of provenance from Dennis Esken (100% Authentic) and Rob Steinmetz are included. LOA from Dennis Esken.
