    Description

2003 Jorge Posada Game Worn & Signed New York Yankees Chest Protector, Shin Guards & Mask.

UPDATE: Shin guards have been photo matched to October 21, 2003 World Series game.

Jorge Posada was a part of the Yankees Core Four which enjoyed four World Series titles during their existence. While Jeter and Rivera usually garnered headlines, it was Posada who stuck down all the right fingers and managed the pitching staff his entire career. Each of these pieces of game-worn catcher's gear shows heavy use from the Yankee great. Posada's matching shin guards, chest protector ("J. Posada" embroidered) and mask are all featured. All are signed by Posada in brilliant silver paint pen. The chest protector and shin guards have athletic tape in various spots. We searched the auction archives and could only find one other pair of shin guards from Posada which has sold. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from Heritage Auctions. LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
