Description
2001 Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Championship Ring (Saviano). The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes are a former Minor League Baseball team with a rich history tied to the development of future Major League talent. Based in Keizer, Oregon, just north of Salem, the team was founded in 1997 as a Class A Short Season affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, playing in the Northwest League.The Volcanoes quickly became one of the most successful teams in the league, winning five Northwest League championships (1998, 2001, 2006, 2007, and 2009). They were known for a strong fan base and for helping to launch the careers of several future Giants stars, including Tim Lincecum, Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, and Brandon Crawford. Their home field, Volcanoes Stadium, became a community hub for baseball in Oregon's Willamette Valley.
In 2020, following Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues, the Volcanoes lost their affiliation and place in affiliated Minor League Baseball. In response, they founded the Mavericks Independent Baseball League in 2021, a four-team league that plays its games at Volcanoes Stadium and includes revived local teams such as the Portland Mavericks. Though no longer affiliated with MLB, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes continue to operate as a key part of Oregon's baseball landscape.

Left side holds San Francisco Giants logo with "Saviano" and "Fan" engrained. Right side reads "2001 Volcanoes Best Ever 51-25." Measures to size-11. Presents wear but displays well. Comes with original box.
