    Description

1999 David Cone Perfect Game Presentational Wristwatch. Don Larsen threw out the first pitch to Yogi Berra on July 17, 1999, a Major League game he admitted was the first he had watched from start to finish since his retirement. There was good reason for the author of the most famous perfecto in baseball history to stick around, to see if his magic would hold up for David Cone. Sure enough, it did, and a packed Yankee Stadium was treated to the sixteenth perfect game in history. Cone commemorated the occasion with a gift of a custom-made gold and stainless steel Ebel chronograph to all teammates and staff. Text on verso announces, "Anthony M. Corso, Jr., Perfect Game, July 17, 1999." Corso was a New York investment manager who got close to the Yankees through the controversial Yankees strength coach Brian McNamee, the most damning witness in the Roger Clemens steroids court proceedings. Watch appears to be in unused, pristine condition.
