1999 David Cone Perfect Game Presentational Wristwatch to Yankees Staffer. Don Larsen threw out the first pitch to Yogi Berra on July 17, 1999, a Major League game he admitted was the first he had watched from start to finish since his retirement. There was good reason for the author of the most famous perfecto in baseball history to stick around, to see if his magic would hold up for David Cone. Sure enough, it did, and a packed Yankee Stadium was treated to the sixteenth perfect game in history. Cone commemorated the occasion with a gift of a custom-made gold and stainless steel Ebel chronograph to all teammates and staff, a fine timepiece presented in a hinged wood and etched glass display case. Text on verso announces, "Billy Connors, Perfect Game, July 17, 1999." Connors was a former pitcher and pitching coach who was serving as Vice President, Player Personnel at the time. Watch is in strong condition with only a few minor hints of wear. Letter of provenance from Billy Connors.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
