Description

1998 David Wells Perfect Game Ring Presented to Willie Randolph with Randolph Letter. Wells' prefect game was the fifteenth in Major League history and the second ever pitched by a Yankee, the first of course being Don Larsen's masterpiece in the 1956 World Series. It is interesting to note that both Larsen and Wells attended the same high school. Also, both of their perfections were both for worthy causes - championship seasons.

Wells sure knew how to commemorate his signature career performance to his fellow Yankee teammates. This ring was gifted by Wells to coach Willie Randolph in appreciation for all of his contributions. The ring has a central diamond and while smaller diamonds serve as the bases. "Perfect Game 1998" surrounds the outside. Left shank shows the line score and official game time. Right shank reveals an image of Yankee Stadium and the date of the perfecto. The ring measures to size 10 and has a weight of 27.4 grams. "Balfour 10k" and"Willie Randolph" are engraved inside. A Jostens case is included. Letter of provenance from Willie Randolph.
