    Description

1997 Florida Marlins World Series Championship Trophy. The World Championship of Major League Baseball reached its southernmost point in 1997, establishing the Florida Marlins as the youngest team to claim Fall Classic glory. In just its fifth year of existence, the young Miami franchise rode a National League wild card berth all the way through October, culminating in a walk-off victory in the eleventh inning of the deciding World Series Game Seven. Presented is the ultimate symbol of that unforgettable victory, a twelve-inch (12") tall trophy from a member of the Marlins front office staff. Team pennants ring the classic crown and baseball iconography at center, with mounted emblems of the Marlins and the defeated Indians set upon the base, ringed with the words "World Series Champions, Florida Marlins 1997." Minor handling and storage wear, but no distractions of significance. Owner's name is blurred in our imagery at consignor's request.
