    Description

1997 Florida Marlins World Championship Ring. History was made twice in October of 1997, when the Marlins became both the youngest expansion franchise (fifth season of existence) and the first Wild Card team to win the World Series. Here's the glimmering prize presented to player development staffer John A. Spinosa for his role in honing the club's world-beating skills. Crafted from ten-karat yellow gold, the ring features a real diamond-studded face with fish logo and initial "F." Raised text reading "1997 World Champions" rings the perimeter. Left shank announces "5th Season" with another logo marlin. "Spinosa" and "Pl. Dev." Are spelled above and below respectively. A miniature World Series trophy design dominates the right shank, with "Marlins, One Heartbeat" text. Engraved inside the band is "Coordinator, Trainers/Equip." Ring size is 9.5. A genuine World Series Championship ring from one of the expansion era's most noteworthy ballclubs. Included is the polished wood presentational case with engraved plaque reading, "1997 World Championship Ring Presented to: John A. Spinosa, Florida Marlins Baseball Club."
