The 1993 MLB All-Star Game was held on July 13, 1993, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, marking the first time the Orioles hosted the Midsummer Classic since 1958. The American League defeated the National League 9-3, continuing their dominance in All-Star play during that era.Kirby Puckett of the Minnesota Twins was named All-Star Game MVP, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and two RBIs. The game featured numerous stars of the era, including Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, Frank Thomas, Greg Maddux, and Randy Johnson. One of the game's most memorable moments was a towering home run hit by Gary Sheffield for the National League. The event also celebrated Cal Ripken Jr., the hometown hero, who received a huge ovation from the Baltimore crowd. The 1993 All-Star Game was a showcase of the sport's top talent and a celebration of one of baseball's most iconic new ballparks.
