Description

1992 Dwight Evans Career Achievement Award & 1976 Red Sox Contract. Dwight Evans is a borderline Hall of Famer who was as smooth a fielder as he was a hitter. Eight Gold Gloves, three All-Star appearances and two home run titles show just how versatile Evans was over a two decade career. Like any superstar, it is hard to hang up the cleats for that final time. Evans was no different as he played for the Baltimore Orioles in 1991. Presented to Dewey was this career achievement award (12" tall and 10.5" wide) at an Orioles banquet following the season. All of Evans' pertinent stats are notated on a placard set against a wood base. Interlocking baseball bats hold a crystal baseball diamond in place on front, which has the following listed - "Dwight "Dewey" Evans 1972-1990 Boston Red Sox 1991 Baltimore Orioles." Not to be forgotten is Evans' contract for the 1976 season. Evans signed on as did American League president Lee Mac Phail. Mail folding marks are present. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
