1990 Ken Griffey Jr. & Sr. Hit Back-to-Back Home Runs Dugout Lineup Card. Who could have ever thought a mid-September game between two teams out of contention could produce one of baseball's most heart-warming moments? The announced attendance for the Angels and Mariners tilt September 14, 1990 was 34,180 but there were plenty of no-shows because the playoffs were but a dream for both clubs. The main drawing card was a rookie named Ken Griffey Jr. for the Mariners who would inspire a generation of fans to wear their cap backwards and enjoy every moment of the game.

After being released by the Reds midway through the 1990 season, Ken Griffey Sr. signed with the Mariners so he could join his son in the lineup with the M's. The duo was in the lineup for that game at Angel Stadium and did the unthinkable. Kirk McCaskill surrendered back-to-back home runs to the father-son duo and became a footnote in MLB history. Dave Winfield probably had the best quote when he told The Sporting News this for their Oct. 1 issue: "I don't like seeing it done against us, but it was nice to see. It's like keeping up with the Joneses, but now it's keeping up with the Griffeys. It's great for baseball and great for Seattle."

This lineup card was a part of history. Griffey Sr. is listed second in the lineup and his son is right behind. There is a strip of athletic tape on the top which would have allowed for this to be displayed. Hall of Famers Edgar Martinez and Winfield also appeared that fateful night. "9/14" is written on the upper right corner under the "Date" slot. This treasure is framed with total dimensions of 9.75x12.5."
