1988 Los Angeles Dodgers World Championship Trophy Presented to Clubhouse Attendant Dave Wright. In one of the greatest upsets in World Series history, the underdog Los Angeles Dodgers shocked the Oakland Athletics, and the world, by taking the World Championship in five games. The television replay of a gimping Kirk Gibson pumping his fist as he rounds the bases following his Game One walk-off in 1988 has ensured the Series' eternal notoriety. Here we present the prize presented to clubhouse attendant Dave Wright for his service in bringing the World Championship to the City of Angels. Its aesthetics should be familiar to any baseball fan, with a ring of pennants representing all Major League clubs encircling baseball and crown figurals. The press pins for each club are stationed at the base, which is encircled by a golden engraved ring announcing, "Los Angeles Dodgers, World Championship Trophy, Presented by the Commissioner of Baseball, October 20, 1988, Dave Wright."
