1987 St. Louis Cardinals National League Championship Ring. The St. Louis Cardinals were the most dominating National League team of the 1980's as they won three pennants and a World Series. Although they lost the 1987 Fall Classic, it was one of those epic battles that wasn't decided until the final game.

Centered on front of the ring is a faux diamond with red stones representing the bases, with "St. Louis Cardinals" below and "National League Champions 1987" on the perimeter. One side reports "Espinoza" and "Cardinals," while the opposite side contains "3,072,122" (league leading season attendance figure), "World Series 15th" and "St. Louis Cardinals," along with a likeness of Busch Stadium. "CTO A-1" is stamped in side the band. The ring measures to a size thirteen (13) and weighs forty grams (40 g.).

Effectively a scaled-down version of the rings presented to Ozzie Smith, Jack Clark and the gang for claiming the National League pennant, this particular model was issued to a member of the team's front office.
