    Description

1987 Lenny Dykstra Personally Owned Original Artwork by LeRoy Neiman. Together with the Silver Slugger Award likewise listed within this auction, the presented Neiman watercolor painting represents the last of the material pawned in Beverly Hills and then never claimed by the former Mets superstar, whose enormous financial empire ended in a very public and scandalous collapse. The distinctive work from the most famous name in sports art was apparently either commissioned by or gifted to Dykstra by Neiman, and captures Nails in the distinctive pinstriped uniform of that glorious World Championship era. The 17x23" painting is entitled "The Slugger" and autographed by Neiman in 10/10 pencil at bottom right. It is professionally matted and framed to a museum quality 32x38.5". Dykstra's pawn tags remain affixed to the back of the frame. Third party shipping required.
