1986 Boston Red Sox American League Championship Ring. A World Series Game Six meltdown, punctuated by Bill Buckner's famous error, ensured that the Curse of the Bambino would live on, and that the folks at Fenway would have to settle for the jewelry presented here. A diamond-studded team logo "B" is set into a red stone on the face, ringed by raised lettering announcing "American League Champions." Left shank announces the year above an image of Fenway in miniature and lists the ALCS tally (Red Sox 4, Angels 3). Right shank provides the owner's name ("Queenan," a front office team executive) above the team logo. Interior band, which measures to a size 7.5, is stamped "LGB CE," indicating non-gold construction by Balfour. Fine condition.
