    1985 Joe DiMaggio Original Artwork by John Groth. Extraordinary artistic study of the greatest Yankee of the 1940's is in the distinctive style of John Groth, best remembered for his depictions of World War II combat. His best work is considered to be his illustration for the Heritage Press edition of "All Quiet on the Western Front," and his paintings appear in collections around the world and in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago. This artwork measures 17x23" and is inscribed by the artist, "To Susan Ermoyan, Great sports fan and friend of John Groth, 11/8/87." Matted to final dimensions of 22x28".
