1984 Joe DiMaggio Seventieth Birthday Presentational Rolex Wristwatch. Classic Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust stainless steel wristwatch was a gift to the Yankee Clipper from Resort Casinos, perhaps a risky association given the troubles that fellow Hall of Fame centerfielders Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays found when they associated with Harrah's. No ban from baseball was levied, however, and the Yankees great proudly cherished this timepiece until his death in 1999. Recently the watch was auctioned as part of "The Joe DiMaggio Collection" auction in May 2006, and is now being made available for just the second time since Joe's passing. The verso of the case bears the simple inscription, "Joe DiMaggio, 70th Birthday, Resorts," and the watch remains in fabulous and fully-operational condition. Original case and Rolex documentation is present as well. A classy and functional addition to your collection.
