1984 Detroit Tigers World Series Championship Ring Presented to Pitcher Sid Monge. Tigers manager Sparky Anderson and Padres manager Dick Williams had faced off once before, as managers of the Reds and Athletics respectively, and Sparky was able to avenge that loss to his fellow Hall of Famer this time, earning a ring identical in appearance to the one presented here. This one was issued to southpaw reliever Sid Monge, who remarkably had been sold to the Tigers by the Padres earlier that year.

Genuine diamonds form a baseball diamond within a blue stone on the ring face, encircled by raised text reporting, "Detroit Tigers World Champions." Left shank announces the vintage above a snarling tiger, while right shank provides the attribution to Monge above a team logo "D." Interior band provides "Balfour 10K" stamping and measures to a size ten (10). Ring exhibits proud wear but still presents beautifully. Monge's 2006 Cardinals ring is likewise listed within this auction. Weight twenty-eight grams (28g.). Letter of provenance from Sid Monge.
