    1984 Chicago Tribune page Signed by 11 Chicago Cubs. This auction features Chicago Cubs collectibles exclusively from the collection of Roger Marth. If you lived in Chicago during the summer of 1984 you were either a Chicago Cubs fan or... you were from Indiana. It was the magical summer when all of the Cubs' faithful thought we were actually weren't going to have to "wait 'til next year." But alas, the winds of World Championship turned out to be more cool breezes off Lake Michigan. The Cubs band wagon was falling over that year this September 26, 1984 Chicago tribune page featuring the beloved Cubs appeared. The page has been signed in blue marker by all eleven pictured players and manager Jim Frey. Signatures present at the "7" to "9" levels and include Rick Sutcliffe, Shawn Dunston, Jodi Davis, Larry Bowa, Jim Frey, Rob Dernier, Steve Trout, Leon Durham, Keith Moreland and Ryne Sandberg. Double matted in Cubbies red and blue to an overall size of 16-1/2" x 19-1/2."
