1982 St. Louis Cardinals World Championship Trophy. A thrilling seven-game Series this season pitted the plucky Milwaukee Braves against the October veterans St. Louis Cardinals, with the latter emerging victorious to claim the club's ninth World Series Championship. The spoils of victory that glorious post-season included this gorgeous and unmistakable trophy, presented to a front office worker at the Cards' Busch Stadium home. The classic design, among the most aesthetically appealing of all Championship hardware in any sport, boasts baseball and crown imagery at the center of a ring of engraved pennants, each bearing the name of the twenty-six teams comprising the 1982 Major Leagues. The tallest flag reaches twelve inches at its peak. Encircling the base is a brass belt with the engraved text, "World Series Champions, St. Louis Cardinals, 1982." Typically the possession of only the men who tasted World Championship glory, this brilliant trophy offers a rare opportunity for the elite collector.
