    Description

1980's Pete Rose Game Worn Cincinnati Reds Batting Helmet. A throwback in the truest sense, Pete Rose never took a play off. If it was an exhibition game, All-Star event or during a meaningless September contest, Rose went all-out and attacked the game. His hits record is one of baseball's safest marks as players reach the 3,000 hit plateau, but 4,000 hits are almost unapproachable. While Rose jerseys and bats surface from time to time, batting helmets are a true find. Just imagine how many hits Rose churned out while donning this "American Baseball Cap size 7 1/4" Reds headgear. Outstanding use is exhibited on the fire engine red exterior with surface scratches and pine tar on the crown. "Rose" is Dymo labeled right below an "ABC" raised reference on back. An "ABC" size sticker is found inside. Rose signed the side in 10/10 black felt tip. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
