    Description

1980's Mickey Mantle Career Ring with Presentation Box. A fitting tribute to the career of this most beloved Yankee, the presented ring addresses all of the primary statistics that made the Mick a legend. A number "7" on the face is studded with genuine diamonds, and sits upon a blue stone framed by the text "Mickey Mantle, 1951 - 1968." The left shank notes his career home run total and other highlights of a Hall of Fame career. The right shank features a facsimile signature, and image of Yankee Stadium and the date his number "7" jersey was retired for posterity. The size ten and a half (10.5) ring is stamped "Balfour 10K" at interior band and engraved "George Steinbrenner," though we report that the consignor did not acquire the ring from the Boss' family and cannot attest to that provenance. Fine condition. Original wooden display case is included.
