1980 Gary Carter All-Star Ring from The Gary Carter Collection. Nineteen-eighty was a banner season for Gary Carter. At just twenty-six years of age, he was at the peak of his powers and already considered the best all-around catcher in the baseball. He registered twenty-nine home runs and 101 runs batted in, was selected to his third all-star team, won his first Gold Glove award, and finished second to Mike Schmidt for league MVP. Silver-tone Balfour ring is a size 9 with "Baseball All-Star" around the top star, with "Carter" on left shank and "LA Dodgers 1980" on the right. Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter.
