1978 Thurman Munson Signed New York Yankees Bonus Check, Twice Signed PSA/DNA Mint 9. Just seventeen months before the beloved Yankees captain would lose his life in a Canton, Ohio airplane crash, Munson endorsed this bonus check issued by the "New York Yankees Road Account," during Spring Training. The amount of $82,500 was just what the Captain needed before the rigors of another season were to get underway.

The back of the check boasts two signatures by Munson. He wrote the following: "For deposit only in United National Bank Canton, Ohio in account of Diana L and Thurman L Munson." He also endorsed the back making it a twice-signed piece. PSA/DNA graded the signatures Mint 9. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Mint 9.
