    Description

1975 Baltimore Orioles Sportsmanship Award from The Brooks Robinson Collection. A journalist for the Detroit News put it well: "How many interviews, how many questions - how many times you approached him and got only courtesy and decency in return. A true gentleman who never took himself seriously. I always had the idea he didn't know he was Brooks Robinson." Presented is a trophy that stands as tangible proof of Robinson's great character, a two-handled loving cup engraved, "Sportsmanship Trophy to the Baltimore Orioles Player Who Best Exemplifies the Qualities of Good Sportsmanship as Voted by the Fans." Light tarnishing, otherwise fine. Height eleven inches (11"). Letter of provenance from Brooks Robinson.
