1974 Hank Aaron Commemorative 715th Home Run Ring. Hank Aaron's fellow hard-slugging Hall of Fame teammate Eddie Mathews once said, "I don't know where Hank Aaron will break Ruth's record, but I can tell you one thing--ten years from the day he hits it, three million people will say they were there." Despite dealing with racism at its deepest depths, Hank Aaron swung on. Even death threats weren't able to stop Aaron's march to the top of the home run list. On April 8, 1974 he deposited Al Downing's fourth inning pitch into the centerfield stands at Atlanta Stadium. The Braves commissioned Herff Jones to make commemorative rings to mark the occasion. Presented is a size ten and a half (10.5) ring with a diamond at the center. "Hammerin' Hank" is engraved on the upper and lower edges. Two embossed images of Aaron along with "Aaron" is engraved on the left side. The ring shank announces "715 4-8-74 Hank Aaron Braves" with a team emblem. "Herff Jones 10k" is stamped inside. Weight is thirty-four grams (34g.).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
