1974 All-Star Game Goblet Set In Box Presented to Fred Fleig was a Harvard graduate, University of Cincinnati coach, Cincinnati Reds executive, and secretary-treasurer of the National League for sixteen years. This unique commemorative goblet set was presented to him in conjunction with the 1974 Midsummer Classic which was played at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. Steve Garvey, who was voted both the All-Star Game MVP and N.L. MVP, was incredibly omitted from the All-Star ballots and made the team by virtue of a voracious write-in effort by America's knowledgeable baseball fans.

Created as a special gift for league executives and dignitaries, this wooden box (17.25x11.25x4.5") displays a raised red/white/blue enamel N.L. logo atop a gold-colored plate inscribed with "1974 All Star Game, Presented To Fred Fleig, Charles Feeney, President." Inside are housed a complete set of eight silver-colored goblets, each bearing the same exact raised enamel N.L. logo which is affixed to the box. The set exhibits some light wear but is still wonderful. Clink your glasses together and toast Fleig, Garvey, and 1974 All-Star Game!
