    Description

1972 Jim Catfish Hunter Signed Oakland Athletics Player's Contract. Presented here is a truly historic player's contract that was executed the year the Oakland Athletics won the World Series in seven games, in which they defeated the Reds for their first world championship since 1930. This "Uniform Player's Contract," was issued to Hall of Famer Catfish Hunter, and is only the second contract from the famed pitcher that we seen offered at auction (the first was his 1967 contract, which Heritage Auctions sold in 2011 for a staggering $5676).

The current offering exhibits immaculate condition, and it has been signed by Hunter, Charles O. Finley and Joe Cronin. An absolutely must-have piece for any serious collector of popular North Carolina native. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
