    Description

1971 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates World Series Championship Salesman's Sample Ring. Eleven seasons after Bill Mazeroski brought a thunderous close to the 1960 Fall Classic, the Steeltown sluggers swashbuckled their way back to the World Championship with another seven-game nail-biter. The club was anchored once again by its 1960 walk-off hero and his fellow Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente, each of whom earned a ring identical in design to this salesman's sample size ten and a half (10.5) model.

A white stone anchors the design with the following raised on the face: "World Champions Pittsburgh, 1971." The simplistic design includes a "Pirates" reference and team emblem on one shank and the following on the opposite side: "Clemente 21" and an image of Three Rivers Stadium. "Jostens 10k" and an inventory number are visible on the inner band. Weight is thirty grams (30g.).
