1971 Baltimore Man of the Decade Award from The Brooks Robinson Collection. The city of Baltimore loved it's hero, Brooks Robinson, and in 1971 honored him with this "Man of the Decade 1961-1971" plaque. The wooden base measures 13x16.5" and is adorned with a 9" diameter bronze medallion of an Adonis carving stone, along with the words, "For Meritorious Achievement" and "Awarded by the Advertising Club of Baltimore." Below that is a nameplate. Wood exhibits some nicks and chips from being displayed for decades. A wonderful and affordable original award from one of the most respected players in the Hall of Fame. Letter of provenance from Brooks Robinson.
