Description
1970's Willard Brown Signed Index Card. Willard Brown was a powerful hitter in the Negro Leagues for the Kansas City Monarchs. He hit so many homers that Josh Gibson bestowed the nickname "Home Run" upon him. Brown was also very fast and a fine fielder. As one of the early integrators of MLB, he played for the St. Louis Browns in 1947, the same season Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier with the Dodgers. He was finally inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. Offered is Brown's signature on a 3x5" index card, which has been authenticated by a Beckett.
