1970 Baltimore Orioles World Series Championship Ring from The Brooks Robinson Collection. When factoring post-season play into the equation, no edition in one hundred and fifteen years of franchise history (dating the founding as the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers and nearly instant relocation to become the St. Louis Browns) has won more games than the team celebrated here. No fewer than one hundred fifteen times did the 1970 Orioles head into the clubhouse as victors, the last time to meet a rain shower of champagne following a World Championship-clinching World Series Game Five.

Presented here is arguably the most important artifact to emerge from that peerless Baltimore season, the World Championship ring issued to the face of the franchise and the man who claimed the World Series MVP Award for his stellar play. Robinson posted a .429 batting average compounded by two home runs and six RBI's, while displaying his signature brilliance at the hot corner. His seventh inning solo shot in the opening contest against Cincinnati Reds ace Gary Nolan proved to be the game-winner, setting the tone for the dominance to follow.

Baltimore Memorial Stadium is miniaturized on the face of the ring, with a massive genuine diamond commanding the field of play. Bold text forms the exterior walls of the tiny stadium, announcing "Baltimore Orioles World Champions." A soaring eagle grasps an "American League" banner in its beak on the left shank above a wreath that celebrates the current and past (1966) Championships. These features exhibit proud wear with some loss of the original enameling. Right shank provides cap and glove imagery with text assigning the prize to the team's most celebrated figure: "B. Robinson 5." Interior band is stamped "Jenkins 14K" and measures to a size ten and a half (10.5). Letter of provenance from Brooks Robinson.
