    Description

1968 George Scott Gold Glove Award--Modern Replacement. Discovered by the same scout that signed Hank Aaron to his first Major League contract, Scott emerged from the cotton fields of Mississippi to establish himself as one of the most sure-handed first baseman in history, his eight career Gold Gloves at the position trailing only Keith Hernandez (11) and Don Mattingly (9). This is the second earned by the Red Sox star, commemorating a season he faltered only nineteen times in 1,434 chances for a stellar .987 fielding percentage.

We sold the original in February, and here is the modern replacement Scott ordered in recent years. It's missing one of the two golden baseballs but is otherwise complete and in fine condition.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
