Description
1967 Mike Schmidt Worn Fairview High School Letterman's Sweater with Schmidt Letter. Schmitty was a three-sport star at Dayton's Fairview High School in Ohio and earned this letterman's sweater as an eighteen year old senior in 1967. Cream colored wool garment with six-button front and two front pockets displays large "F" over the left chest and "67" on left sleeve, all sewn-on in gold chenille on dark blue felt. The "F" also features crossed bats and ball in blue/gold embroidery. Meanwhile, the right sleeve reports "Mike" in light blue chainlink. Furthermore, a "Jim Flynn Sporting Goods, Dayton Ohio" manufacturer's label resides in the collar. The sweater presents in the same pristine condition as the day it was first issued to Mr. Schmidt.
