    Description

1965-67 Jimmie Foxx Signed Gold Hall of Fame Plaque. In one of the rare instances in which the signed gold plaque surpasses in scarcity and value that of the older black and white version, this Foxx autographed specimen stands as one of the very few to surface in the hobby. The reasoning is simple--while the black and white plaques were in production as of the time of Double-X's Cooperstown induction, the gold model first appeared in late 1965. Eighteen months later, Foxx would choke to death, several years before the invention of the Heimlich maneuver that may have saved his life.

The intense scarcity of the later cards in an autographed state puts them at well over twice the value of the older style in Sports Market Report's price guide. Signature rates 5/10, but the imperfect condition must be forgiven in light of the tremendous rarity. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
