Description

1964 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Championship Ring Presented to Infielder Jerry Buchek. Mickey Mantle hit the last of his eighteen World Series home runs against the Cardinals in 1964, but St. Louis emerged with the victory as Hall of Fame ace Bob Gibson returned on three days rest to pitch a Game Seven victory. Jerry Buchek, who made four Fall Classic appearances for his slick defense, and recorded a hit in his sole plate appearance, was issued this ring for his service to the realization of the dream, and his signed letter of provenance attends. A large, genuine diamond is set into a red stone on the face of the ring, encircled by raised text reporting, "St. Louis Cardinals World Champions." Left shank is adorned with Buchek's surname and jersey number amidst crossed bats and ball imagery. Right shank reports the vintage with logo and St. Louis Arch design. Interior band is stamped "Balfour 14K" and measures to a size eleven and a half (11.5). Letter of provenance from Jerry Buchek.
