    Description

1964 New York Mets Meritorious Service Award Ring. Whoever weathered the storm through the 1962 and '63 seasons for the New York Mets deserved something, anything to ease the sting of 231 loses. Presented to longtime scout Wally Milles is this "Balfour [size] 9.75" ring. A Mets emblem, with New York as the background, is raised on front along with a small diamond and two red rubies. One side features Mr. Met while the opposite side has Shea Stadium. "WM" is engraved on the inside along with "Balfour 10k" which denotes gold content and manufacturer.
