1964 Bobby Murcer's First Professional Baseball Contract, New York Yankees Farm Club. Remarkably, it was Tom Greenwade, the same scout that unearthed Mickey Mantle, who signed Murcer to his first pro covenant. Here it is, designating a $10,000 signing bonus and $500 monthly salary to represent the Johnson City club of the Appalachian League. Murcer was just days past his eighteenth birthday when he consented to terms, signing along with his father and a team representative. Also here are a couple of single-page riders, each likewise signed by Murcer and a team representative, and the cover letter from the Yankees sending the executed paperwork to Murcer, as well as the original mailing envelope. A great Yankees career begins! Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Letter of provenance from family of Bobby Murcer.
