1962 "Safe At Home" Three-Sheet Movie Poster Featuring Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris. While this charmingly clumsy tale didn't exactly challenge "Lawrence of Arabia" for Best Picture honors in 1962 Academy Award voting, the casting of the M&M Boys has secured this film a place in the hearts of millions of Yankee fans. We've sold a few examples of the standard one-sheet format in past auctions, but this is the first time we've encountered one of the towering three-sheet versions, the 81x27" dimensions supplying the home run heroes of the 1961 World Champion New York Yankees in nearly life-sized color.The poster has been professionally linen-backed and lightly restored to glorious effect, leaving any faults so minimized that it requires a concerted effort to spot them.
