1961 Frank "Home Run" Baker Signed Handwritten Letter to National Baseball Hall of Fame President Paul Kerr. One of the Dead Ball Era's greatest sluggers, Frank "Home Run" Baker credited his approach to baseball to the simple farming community where he was raised. "The farmer loves the dramatic, and slugging is more dramatic that even the cleverest pitching," he once said.

Baker's politeness, gentle nature and love for baseball show through in his letter on offer here. He thanks Kerr for his "many acts of kindness to me" for which he is "deeply grateful for all," while expressing regret for not being able to attend the Old Timers Game in Cooperstown and Little League playoff in Williamsport. Signed "Frank Baker."

One-page letter (7.25x10.25") is handwritten and signed in NRMT blue ballpoint. Slight browning at bottom near autograph and customary folds. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
