Description

1959 Ty Cobb Signed Check. Ty Cobb's dominance was rooted in his unmatched intensity, fierce competitiveness, and extraordinary skill as a hitter and baserunner. Playing from 1905 to 1928, primarily with the Detroit Tigers, Cobb set dozens of records, including a career batting average of .366, the highest in MLB history. He won 12 batting titles, including nine in a row, and led the league in stolen bases six times.

Cobb didn't just beat opponents-he overwhelmed them with aggressive play, psychological warfare, and relentless drive. He excelled in the dead-ball era, using speed, precision hitting, and basepath daring to dominate games. Though controversial for his fiery personality and on-field conduct, Cobb's sheer ability made him one of the most feared and respected players of all time. His legacy as a foundational figure in baseball's early history is both legendary and complex.

Offered is a personal check signed by The Georgia Peach. General processing wear. Also included are two unsigned postcards featuring Cobb's likeness (little wear). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
