    Description

    1959 Chicago White Sox American League Champions Ring Presented to Al Smith. Al Smith's claim to fame occurred when a fan accidentally spilled his beer in hopes of catching a home run ball. Chicago Tribune photographer John Raymond Gora snapped the photo as Smith has a full cup of beer spilled on him. This size ten and a half ring was presented to Smith for his contributions in the 1959 as a part of the American League pennant winning team. "American League Champions 1959 surrounds a blue stone and a sapphire. "Art Smith" is engraved on the inner band. Weight is twenty-six grams (26g.). A "The Goldsmith" box attends.
