1958 Ty Cobb Handwritten Three Page Letter. When Ty Cobb was present, even after his career, mad hysteria followed. There just wasn't enough time in a day for Cobb to fulfill has obligations - especially given the onslaught of autograph requests when he appeared at the ballpark. This three-page handwritten letter, on Cobb's personal stationery (4.5x7"), is asking for forgiveness for not meeting up with a well-wisher and her family. Cobb laments about when he goes to Detroit there are autograph seekers, heightened security and even having to deal with the baseball scribes which kept him up until sunrise. Cobb does say he is sorry he wasn't able to meet this female fan and her kids. He closes with this line: "With my very kindest regards to you and all your family I am Sincerely, Ty Cobb." Regular fold marks appear but do not impede the 10/10 signature/writing. Framed at 24x15.5". Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM_MT 8. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
