1957 Ernie Banks Honorable Army Discharge Certificate from The Ernie Banks Collection. In 1951, Ernie Banks was drafted into the Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. A flag bearer in the 45th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion at Fort Bliss, he played with the Harlem Globetrotters on a part-time basis. Presented here is Banks' Honorable Army Discharge certificate that he received in April of 1957. Measuring at 9x10.5", it exhibits medium wear throughout (VG-EX). Also included is a modern copy of a photo of Banks in Army regalia. Letter of provenance from The Ernie Banks Estate.
