1956 World Series Ticket Stubs Complete Run of 7. For the second time in as many years, the Bums and the Bombers took the Fall Classic to its utter limit, though the dreams of a World Championship repeat for Jackie, Campy and the boys was not to be realized. Taking the wind out of the Dodger sails were Mantle home runs in Games One, Four and Five, the last of which will be remembered throughout baseball eternity for Don Larsen's perfect pitching performance. And, of course, Game Seven will always be remembered as the great Jackie Robinson's finale, as he chose to retire instead of reporting for service to the New York Giants in 1957. Short of minor wrinkling in the Game One ticket, all present beautifully as EX-MT or better, with no irregular tearing at the perforations. Tremendous break down value here, though it would be a shame to dismantle (no pun intended) such a great set.
